Joint Czech-Norwegian project

In November 2023, a joint Czech-Norwegian project was launched, focusing on forced service in the Wehrmacht as one of the suppressed chapters of national narratives from the World War II, not only in the Czech lands but also in many other European countries. This short-term project primarily aims at the general public, with planned outputs including workshops, expert popular articles, and most notably, a banner exhibition, which will also be presented online.

The project is supported by the EHP and Norway Grants. The guarantor of the project is the Institute of Contemporary History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The project leader is Zdenko Maršálek, while the Norwegian part of the team is headed by Hans Otto Frøland. More information here
